Advanced Electrolysis can improve or remove many topical skin lesions, including skin tags, milia, xanthelasma, seborrheic keratoses and more.
A consultation and patch test is mandatory to assess the lesion and advise on treatment.
Please notify us of any medical conditions and give details of your prescribed medication at your appointment.
Minors: Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for consultation and treatment.
Tips for Treatment:
- If you’ve just been on holiday or are planning to go, leave a minimum of two weeks from your return before your appointment date. UV exposure not only colours the skin but can damage the area, making post-treatment healing slower.
- Come in with clean skin: tinted moisturisers and fake tan can impair accurate diagnosis. No makeup too, please!
- Depending on the type of blemish, full healing may take anything from a few days to several weeks. You’ll need to follow your homecare routine very carefully and avoid touching, picking or scratching the treatment area.
- Some types of blemishes or multiple lesions may need a course of treatment to improve their appearance.
- Results are always improved by having healthy skin: a good diet, drinking plenty of fluids regularly and avoiding UV, smoking and alcohol make a huge difference to healing.
- Results cannot be guaranteed. Blemishes vary hugely in origin, size and type: some are unsuitable for treatment or may only achieve improvement rather than removal. If the lesion cannot be accurately diagnosed, referral to a dermatologist or GP may be recommended for a second opinion. Safety is always at the forefront of our service.
- The consultation and patch test allows us to diagnose the lesion/s, assess the skin, and advise you on the most suitable options to achieve the best results. Following the appointment, you are perfectly free to decide whether to proceed with treatment in your own time (known as a ‘cooling-off’ period). The consultation should provide you with all the information you need to make a fully informed decision or seek treatment or advice elsewhere, with no obligation.
